Tweet Adder's trial version offers the same functionality as the paid version, but it limits you to a single account and a certain number of tweets, re-tweets, follows and unfollows. Downloading and installing the program is not a challenging task. It works on all popular Windows versions and it is available for Mac OS X and Linux as well.

An overview of your Twitter accounts is presented in a table of contents, on the software's interface. The Overview page displays various details about individual accounts, including their statuses, followers, updates, follow backs, replies and more. If you wish to associate the program with a new Twitter account, all you have to do is type in the appropriate username and password.

You can access a rich configurations panel for individual accounts. The available options are organized in numerous sections. You may perform a tweet search, based on keywords. Alternatively, you can add one or more keywords to a list and let the program search automatically. When the software finds the tweets you are interested in, it will add the users to a list and you may follow them. An automatic following feature can be enabled. It is possible to set up delays between each follow, a maximum number of follows per day and more. Similar settings can be made for automatic follow backs and unfollows. The software can automatically unfollow non-reciprocal users or all users except for the ones you add to a white list.

Messages can be added to a list and tweeted automatically every few minutes. A few options can be selected, post in a random order or to send out recurring tweets. Re-tweets, replies or "thank you" messages can be defined in a similar fashion. In certain cases, when you prepare one or more tweets, you may attach MP3 files or special symbols to your messages. A unique tweet generator can be used to create numerous phrases. You can type sentences with multiple variables and the program will do all possible combinations, to create unique messages with your variables.

One of the most useful features is the possibility of tweeting RSS feeds. You can add RSS URLs to a list and set the program to post new updates every few minutes, to include titles and descriptions and you can add your own prefixes and suffices as well. Tweet Adder comes with a URL shortener as well. Instead of posting long URLs, you can use this feature to post shorter ones.
